<li>Tip Three: Use those same keywords as a text link to another page in your site. This can be done somewhere in the body of the page.</li>
<li>Tip Four:  Treat each page as if it were its own website. If each page is almost identical, the search engines will steer clear.  It is best to take one subject and break it up into smaller sections, each being a page with its own keywords.</li>
<li>Tip Five:  Do not then type those keywords all over the page. This is looked at as spamming.  You should have your keywords several times on a page; however make sure that they fit in with your text. If you feel that you have to keep using those keywords, look for synonyms.</li>
<li>Tip Six:  Stay away from link farms and do not pay for links.  Look to exchange links with legitimate sites that are in the same category as your site.</li>
<li>Tip Seven: Never use a doorway; these are designed for robots and not for people.  Search engines do not like them.</li>

This is because without proper keyword planning, your SEO effort will not bring you any conversion as visitors to your site are not targeted at all. Relevancy is the key here.</p>
<p>When you are doing your keyword research, it is important for you to choose the most relevant keywords for your business. Basically, keywords can be categorized into 3 types, which are: Too Hot Keywords, Just Right Keywords, and Too Cold Keywords. &#8220;Too Hot Keywords&#8221; are words like &#8220;florists&#8221;, &#8220;translation&#8221;, or &#8220;gifts&#8221;.</p>

By optimizing those &#8220;Just Right&#8221; keywords, you can get more targeted traffic to your website and increase the chance of conversions.</p>
<p>For SEO, it does make more sense to target keywords that fall in the Just Right category. As for &#8220;Too Cold Keywords&#8221;, they are usually long-tail key phrases like &#8220;corporate gifts for any event and budget&#8221;. When SEO is done correctly, you will get traffic from the long tail phrases due to the overall targeted keyword theme. So what do I mean by targeted keyword theme?</p>
<p><span id="more-164"></span>In order to achieve a targeted keyword theme, it really depends on the content that you put on your website. Unique, informative and keyword targeted content is something that you need in order to succeed in SEO. This is because long tail keywords usually take up 60% &#8211; 70% of overall organic traffic of a website and it is something every optimizer must capitalize on. So when your website overall content revolves around a particular theme. Although the traffic from long tail are spilled-overs from page 3, 4 or 5 of the SERPs, these traffic are very targeted and may result in conversions.</p>
<p>The bad new is that an optimizer will not be able to predict what kinds of long tail keywords that searchers will use. Therefore, long tail SEO can only be done by targeting the right keyword theme and creating relevant content.</p>
<p>When coming up with long tail content, just treat yourself as an educator. Write informative articles to educate your target market about the product or service that you are providing. In this case, you will be able to move your prospects that are in the research phase to the buying phase, which increases your chance of conversions.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Global internet information provider <a href="http://www.comscore.com/" target="_blank">comScore</a> has just released research which shows that Google became Canada’s most-visited website for the first time in January, overthrowing the Microsoft destinations which had previously been the most popular.</p>
<p>This is not a terribly surprising development as the search giant has long been one of the most popular websites globally and is the most visited in the UK. In Japan, it is beaten by Yahoo! and closely followed by various Microsoft sites.</p>
<p>Recently, Dan Cobley, Google’s director of marketing for UK, Ireland and Benelux, told IT Wales that the internet allows businesses access to customers they could never previously have engaged.</p>
<p>He highlighted:</p>
<blockquote><p>“Even the smallest company operating out of a garage and with a marketing budget of a few pounds a week, can tap into these new opportunities.”</p></blockquote>
<p>As the importance of search engines grows across the worldwide markets, there are more opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to market themselves within an international arena, all they need is visibility.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>OpenID is a single sign-in infrastructure that potentially alleviates the need to create new passwords and user names for every new site one joins or visits. There&#8217;s been lots of discussion about <a href="http://openid.net/" target="_blank">OpenID </a>and who&#8217;s in, who&#8217;s almost in, and so on. Today, Yahoo formally joined (and fully legitimized) the effort. Microsoft Passport was originally conceived to be a similar system but failed to gain support and broad adoption. While it&#8217;s a great convenience for end users and intended to &#8220;open up&#8221; the process of signing in to sites, the strange paradox of OpenID is that it potentially reinforces a relationship between a user and his/her open ID &#8220;home.&#8221; That is, the master login that a person uses: AOL screenname, WordPress login, or, now, Yahoo login.</p>
<p>As Yahoo explains: When you are on a web site that supports OpenID login, simply look for a Yahoo! login button. Or if you see a text box with an OpenID icon, simply type in &#8220;yahoo.com&#8221;. You will be sent to Yahoo! to verify your Yahoo! ID and password, and then you will be able to continue on.</p>

<p>OpenID is thematically related to another, broader issue: data portability. The latter is very much like the idea of a unified login/password system except that it applies to data much more broadly. In theory, &#8220;data portability&#8221; would allow interoperability among various participating sites. However, the issues surrounding data portability are much more complex than OpenID. At the heart of the debate over data portability are questions of who &#8220;owns&#8221; or controls data and user privacy.</p>
<p>Yahoo&#8217;s 248 million registered users globally now become part of the system. Google, LinkedIn, and Facebook have all been associated with discussions to support OpenID, though have not formally announced that support. Now, with Yahoo&#8217;s participation secured, it should just be a matter of time before other big names join (AOL and Plaxo are also currently on the list of supporting companies.)</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Yahoo has appointed BlackBerry and former Orange executive Kristof Fahy to a top marketing role to revitalise the company&#8217;s brand across Europe. Fahy, who takes the newly created role of vice-president of marketing for Europe, will be responsible for overseeing all of Yahoo&#8217;s brand development, customer insight and communications in Europe.</p>
<p>He joins from Research in Motion, where he was brand marketing director for BlackBerry across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Previously he spent seven years with Orange, from 1999, holding various roles including director of global brand communications. Most recently at Orange, Fahy was head of brand, planning and advertising for the mobile operator&#8217;s UK business, before leaving in 2005.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;We are excited to have someone of his calibre and experience joining the Yahoo team as we transform the company to being customer centric in everything we do,&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>said Toby Coppel, the Yahoo! Europe managing director.</p>
<p>Coppel, formerly the Yahoo chief strategy officer, has been keen to engineer a turnaround of the Yahoo operation and brand since being appointed to the European role in April. In a recent interview he said that poorly performing parts of the European business have until the end of the first quarter next year to improve or faced being closed down or sold.</p>
<p>The company wants to focus on services that users are interested in on a daily basis, such as news and sport, with other operations, such as price comparison service Kelkoo, under strategic review. Yahoo!&#8217;s share of the European search market is just over 3%, compared with around 18% in the US and 14% worldwide, according to ComScore.</p>
