11 Apr 2009Anna Rawson swung a golf club for the first time at the age of 13. Since then, the Australian-born athlete and model has graduated from Australian Amateur Champion to bona fide LPGA pro. As a scholarship athlete at the University of Southern California, Anna Rawson won All-Pac-10 honorable mentions three years in a row. She also played on USC’s National Championship team in 2003, turning pro in the summer of 2004.

In 2005, she entered the Ladies European Tour School in Spain, where she qualified in 3rd place and earned her 2006 tour card. Anna finished in the top 10 a total of five times on the European Tour, with eight top-20 finishes and a lowest round score of 67. In 2007, she finished Q-school in the top 20 and qualified for the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA).
“I am very excited to be a part of this elite and diverse group of athletes,”
Anna remarked at the time.
“My goal is to raise the profile of women’s golf, and this new phase in my career will allow me to make more strides in doing so.”
Anna Rawson writes regular monthly columns – which include both golf and fashion tips – for international golfing magazines. She’s also collaborated with Swedish designer J. Lindeberg to create a line of fashionable golf clothing for women.
